Frequently Asked Questions

I'm a relatively new artist. Am I going to feel out of place and uncomfortable with so many experienced artists in the group?

Absolutely not! Our group exists to encourage artists at all levels (from beginning to professional). For new artists, you will be exposed to different forms of artistry that may just provide the inspiration you need to get started. Also, beginners often find that the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas with more advanced artists is invaluable to their over all development.

Is there a monthly cost to join?

No, that’s the good news! You get all of the benefits of membership for one low annual fee of $50. That’s it! There are no monthlies. We also have monthly raffles but those are optional.

I'm not sure I'm ready to compete with others. Do I have to compete to be involved?

No, entering the competition is always optional. The good news is that we have different categories so beginners do not have to compete with the more experienced artists.

When and where are your monthly meetings?

We meet the first Monday of each month from 1 – 3:30 p.m. Sept. – June (Sept. is on the second Monday due to Labor Day) at the Murrieta Senior Center at 5 Town Square (41717 Juniper Street), Murrieta, CA 92562. We do not meet in July or August.

When and where are the Gather and Paint sessions?

The Gather and Paint sessions are from 12:30 to 3:30 every Tuesday in the Main Room at the Murrieta Senior Center for persons 50 and older. Bring your current project and paint supplies and grab a spot!
